I am interested in waterfowl ecology and wetlands. Currently I am interested in examining the impacts that wetland management actions have on waterfowl food resources, with the goal of identifying effective ways to maximize food value within managed wetlands. In additional to meeting the energetic demand that wintering waterfowls have, I am interested in how management actions can be tailored to also accommodate the habitat needs of other wetlands species. I hope to continue my focus on waterfowl into the future by examining novel questions, and building on the large body of research that exists for waterfowl.
